Born and raised in the wilds of Wyoming, USA - Cynthia spent nine years in the hospitality trade in San Diego, California before traveling to New Zealand to bicycle the length of the country, with a friend, and then returned to Wyoming where she married. Several years later, after her husband's untimely death, she returned to New Zealand to start a new life. There she met Kiwi widower Guy Cater - and, as they say - the rest is history!! Guy and Cynthia married in 2002 and share a strong and loving bond that helps in their busy and much traveled lifestyle.
Cynthia has a wicked sense of humour and an ability to talk to people of all ages and all nationalities. Only a year after her arrival in New Zealand she became the Secretary of The New Zealand Variety Artists Club and when she retired from that position in October 2006, the club made her a presentation of a Scroll of Honor, at their annual awards night, for ... "her untiring and unselfish work for the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand and the New Zealand Entertainment Industry".
Cynthia takes care of the business side of Guy's work and also looks after the sound for the show and often takes part acting as Stage Hostess or performing character roles in the Hypnotism Show.
